As protests and demonstrations continue for the Black Lives Matter movement, we are recognizing small but significant victories across the country. While we do see shifts in the right direction, we know that there is so much more work to be done. We call on everyone to keep engaged and to support those organizations out there that have been and continue to fight for justice and equality.
Aria Discs is selling the small quantity of remaining "LA Throwback 2020 edition" Color of Ultimate discs. 100% of the proceeds will be donated back to CoU and Project Diversity to support their mission of breaking down racial and socioeconomic barriers to make Ultimate accessible to a more diverse community.
Only 15 of these discs remain and it is a chance to raise $750.
In June 2019, the folks behind the Color of Ultimate and Project Diversity put together a showcase game highlighting players of color and demonstrating the highest level of talent Ultimate has to offer. Since then they've gone on to host more events, share the sport with the younger generation, and, most recently, bring the CoU excitement to the west coast.
Players from all over the country descended on LA to participate in LA Throwback and top it all off with another showcase game, this time in the sand. An incredibly powerful event, the showcase game was a huge hit and demonstrated the power of the Color of Ultimate to inspire the community - and just be a whole lot of fun to watch.
